2010: the secret of eternal happiness

'The secret of happiness is simple: find out what you truly love to do and then direct all of your energy towards doing it. Once you do this, abundance flows into your life and all your desires are filled with ease and grace.'

Ethics and performance: incompatible?

However, one can already question the sustainability and even the veracity of mea culpa major contributor to this looming crisis as unprecedented.

Would not it time to work on the definition and enforcement of a new value system?

In doing research on this subject, I found reference to an article by Dr. Otto Chang appeared in Hsi Lai Journal of Humanistic Buddhism . Dr. Chang proposes 12 principles that can be used to establish a "universal ethic of the company."
  1. The company must comply with international laws and guidelines of domestic and foreign governments.
  2. The company should respect every individual and every culture it encounters in the exercise of his profession.
  3. The company must align its mission and objectives of its social responsibilities and its duty to contribute to the advancement of civilization, it must establish its strategies accordingly to promote education, morality, well-being.
  4. The company must adopt environmentally friendly technologies and less harmful to humans and wildlife.
  5. The company should make products safe for consumers and report any risks that may be associated with their use.
  6. The company must use its resources wisely economic and recycle all materials that may be to conserve natural resources.
  7. The company must treat employees with respect, involve them in decision making, reward them appropriately and help them achieve their career and life.
  8. The company should prohibit discrimination and / or harassment in any form whatsoever.
  9. firm must establish structures and processes appropriate governance so that the interests of all its stakeholders are not adversely affected by management.
  10. The company shall not implement operating strategies that may exhaust the economic resources of foreign countries or measures to eliminate monopolistic competition.
  11. The company shall not make false advertising or adopt aggressive marketing strategies that affect society.
  12. The company must invest in human capital and in research and development to improve productivity, technology and human knowledge.
Clearly this does not call into question the very principle of capitalism, but simply seek to manager beyond profit.

And why not, as proposed by the Interior Minister of Bhutan, Thinley, replace the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the indicator to increase the wealth of a country by the Gross Domestic Happiness (BIB) ...

Starting To Get Strep

What does this cover behind loyalty programs? To successfully launch your

Of 150 programs in 23 areas in France and abroad, it appears that the first objective ( 38%) would develop Turnover . Followed by a goal maintaining brand (19%), increased lifespan (18%) and a better knowledge of customers (14%). The r retention of the customers can then, with 8% .*

And on the consumer side?

"they believe that loyalty programs have become very complicated to the point they are not able to accurately describe those they know: cagnotage (accumulation) points or EUR calculated on the total expenditure, double points on certain days, combination of items and discount Cagnot euro on the same product.
The superposition techniques to accumulate points or euros for receiving benefits can have a side "generous" but consumers will see more and more a means to attract customers to encourage them to spend more.
from a system originally designed as a way to reward customers, it leads to mistrust vis-à-vis distributors to seek to "trick" consumers! "**

So be careful not to forget the true meaning of the word "Loyalty" ...

Why Does Santa Have A Beard?

product, use the Matrix * MFI!

The parameters to consider when launching a new product or service are so numerous that one can easily "forget" items that are essential.

The economic context, consumer sentiment, strategic or tactical choices your competitors are exogenous and therefore not controllable.

However, you are responsible for your choices, your actions and your messages.

It is your responsibility to first identify who your audiences.

Usually, you go to the following groups:
  1. The internal : sales teams of course but also all services and all persons who will be involved in setting Marketing and track your latest.
  2. distribution networks: it is necessary to determine whether you will address the same way all your resale channels or if you're going to differentiate your approach.
  3. Press : generic term to refer to all media. It will probably be useful to distinguish between media specific to your sector from those in the periphery and therefore less directly prescribers.
  4. Consumers : there are those who will (maybe) buy and use your new product or service. In an activity exclusively B to B, you can replace this term by customers.
It is now for each of these groups to design and plan the implementation of concrete actions.

We therefore recommend to include these shares in a triptych that we call "MFI *" or "Information, Training, Motivation."
  • Information: This category includes all the elements necessary to an understanding of your new job. A dedicated mini-website, accessible first internally and then to your dealers and press, and finally to consumers can fall into that category.
  • Training: This refers to design and implement actions and supports which enable everyone to play its full role in the sales process. We can cite, for example, a road show including a "sneak preview" for business teams and the back office.
  • Motivation: There are almost all actions that will make your novel is and remains in the minds of everyone. A challenge internal sales coupled with a stimulus package of your distribution belongs to this category.
For an overview and more easily combine your team with this approach, we suggest you summarize all your shares in a matrix as below:

This matrix will also be probably very useful to correct any drift.

Brazilian Wax For Menedmonton

If you do not work, you should try something different. But what?

To find the answer that works, we must go in two directions: 1) "What have I learned?" and 2) "What do I need to learn?"

Think thoughts that come when you read each of the following:
  1. If this situation was funny, what will I laugh?
  2. How verrais-je/réglerais-je this problem if I was twenty years older? Or twenty less?
  3. What I would do differently if this issue was in fact an opportunity?
  4. How old solution has worked in the past? Why is it the solution became the problem now?
  5. What would happen if he meant this exactly the opposite of what I think it means?
  6. How this situation would appear from the perspective of someone other?
  7. What more important issue this is it an item?
  8. What is really the person who created this problem?
  9. this problem is there not the system? If so, how can I bypass?
  10. What are the emotions that I feel or that I repressed and that lead me to respond - to respond by force of habit or by programming the old brain rather than adopting a new and creative behavior?

The Year of the Dolphin invincibility by SUN TZU

SUN TZU * In the absence of confusion in an organization is one of the factors of invincibility.

"Produce plans and clear procedures, distrust of ambiguous communication, regardless of return, prohibit messages and conflicting signals, set disputes at the earliest of their birth. By reducing the opportunities for disorder is improved especially the ability to act as a united and consistent.

Conversely, when the signs are not obvious to everyone that politics as the strategy is not shared, everyone is led to think independently of its small business contribution to the whole. "

ocean blue or red ocean?

W. Chan Kim and Renee Mauborgne, authors of the bestseller "Blue Ocean Strategy" in this book reveal the results of a survey of 108 companies addressing the launch of new activities.

It appears that the actual launch of new activities, as opposed to simple extensions of existing product lines, accounted for only 14% of the total number of launches and did not result in more than 38% of turnover of these companies.

However, these new activities generated 61% profit!

Conclusion: should it run out into the ocean or red arm themselves with courage and dive into the deep blue?
